Associazione InCo and Civico13, Awero, AssoAssociazione Interculturale NUR, and the Cities of Learning Network are organising a Youth Workers Exchange to promote the recognition of skills and competences in youth work, volunteering, and non-formal learning through digital Open Badges.

What will you gain?
- Learning how to work with skills and competencies to design youth work programmes.
- Understanding how to recognise skills and competencies developed in youth work, volunteering and non-formal learning.
- Inspiring examples of youth work programmes focused on skills and competence.
- Explore tools and solutions, such as Youthpass and digital Open badges, to support the development and recognition of skills and competencies.
- Skills in designing recognition processes by using Open Badges and/or other tools.
- Understanding levels of recognition
- Access to numerous resources to learn about Open Badges and how learners, issuers and organisations can benefit from them
- Hands-on practice of using digital platforms for skills and competencies assessment and using Open Badges
- Chance to be engaged in the community of Cities of Learning and Open Badges practitioners

Participants should be involved in their daily work (or highly interested in it):
- Dealing with recognition of learning outcomes
- Willing to explore how to start using Open Badges and digital platforms in their programmes and projects
- They should also be: residents in the countries identified in the call
- Able to communicate in English
- Above 18 years old

Costs
Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the actual costs, not exceeding the lump sums based on the travel distances, in Euro:
- 10-99 km - 28 / green travel - 56
- 100-499 km - 211/ green travel - 285
- 500-1999 km - 309/ green travel 417
- 2000-2999 km - 395/ green travel 535
Only justified costs will be eligible for reimbursement. If travel costs exceed the lump sums, the remaining costs shall be covered by the participant or their sending organisation.
Participants may opt for the “green travel” options, which come with a slightly higher travel budget. Please get in touch with the organiser for more information about eligible green travel options.
Board, lodging, local transportation and programme implementation costs will be covered upon full participation in the event.
To balance the YWE activity budget, we invite participants to contribute a 50 euro participation fee, which will be deducted from the travel costs reimbursement. In justified cases, participants may request a discount or waive the contribution. Participation fee should not be a barrier to participation.
Digital credentials and certification
This youth workers exchange is a unique opportunity for participants to use up-to-date and digital recognition solutions, such as digital Open Badges. Every participant will get a Youthpass certificate and a portfolio of Open badges linked to specific learning experiences.
