Use skills, competence and qualification frameworks
Organisers may choose to add Skill tags when creating activities on the Cities of Learning platform. Skill tags help mapping learning and showcase development. Using Skill tags supports learners in understanding what skills and competences they may develop in specific activities. They also support external viewers to understand learning and achievements represented by digital Open Badges and Certificates.
Currently, the platform offers the following frameworks:
- the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) database;
- the European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp);
- the European framework for the personal, social and learning to learn key competence (LifeComp);
- the European sustainability competence framework (GreenComp);
- the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp 2.0);
- the European Training Strategy Competence Model for Trainers (ETS-TR);
- the European Training Strategy Competence Model for Youth Workers (ETS-YW);
- Digital Competence Framework for Youth Workers;
- the Youth Information Worker Competence Framework (YouthInfoComp).

Add skills tags:
- Click on your profile picture in the top right and click on the drop-down list with accounts that you manage.
- Select the Organiser’s Account (Open dashboard -> Select organisation).
- Click on the Settings tab (Open dashboard -> Select organisation -> Settings).
- Scroll down to the page section Badge tags used on an organiser’s account.
- Add, modify, delete tags.
- Click Save.
