Teave

Today was all about setting the stage for a great learning journey, getting to know each other, and establishing a shared understanding of why we use digital badges.

Badge Foundations & Connections

We kicked off with introductions and group-building exercises to establish our working teams. A successful badging system starts with a cohesive community, and you all did a fantastic job sharing your initial expectations.

Why recognition
We moved into the heart of the matter: defining recognition's purpose. Together, we explored key objectives that recognition can achieve in your individual contexts.

Our Systems
We explore the wider system, which is out there - supporting us and making impact on the way badges will work out in our organisations.
Here the a video to remind you on what a 'System' is?

Essentials of Open Badges
We explored essential about Open badges through a Quiz: the history, the basic requirements, types, goals and features. Check the section 'Resources' below for the link to the slides with some explanations on essentials of Open badges.

Reflection

To ensure we move forward together, your task is to review the day's materials and explore how does it help to build your understanding about Open Badges.
  • Resources: All slides and informational documents shared today are linked below for your review.
  • Next Up: Tomorrow, Day 2: Badge Essentials, we dive into the criteria and evidence design that brings a badge concept to life.
